  1. Funding Opportunity - Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Fiscal Year (FY) 18 Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-based Program, BJA-2018-13607

    • Widespread use of opioids has devastated many communities. The FY 2018 Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-based Program is designed to support our nation’s first responders and provide for the needs of crime victims; support diversion and alternatives to incarceration programs for non-violent individuals who come in contact with the justice system as a result of the abuse of illicit and prescription opioids; implement and enhance prescription drug monitoring programs; promote cross-system planning and coordination of service delivery; and reduce the incidence of fatal overdoses associated with opioid use.   2. Department of Labor’s Chief Evaluation Office Releases Career Pathways Study Findings and Analytical Materials

  3. VA and Small Business Administration Team up to Help Veteran Entrepreneurs

    • The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is working with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide education and support to Veterans with disabilities interested in self-employment. Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E) employs nearly 1,000 professional vocational rehabilitation counselors and delivers services through a network of nearly 350 office locations.   4. Department of Education (ED), Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) comment request notice - Demonstration Grants for Indian Children Application (1894–0001)

    • The Office of Indian Education (OIE) of the Department of Education (ED) requests extension of the clearance for the Indian Education Demonstration Grant Application.
