Attached is the latest issue of the occasional newsletter on American Indian and Alaska Native issues in Census Bureau operations and data.

The feature story describes the start of the Census Bureau's recruiting efforts for the 2020 Census.  Hundreds of thousands of workers will be required before the count concludes in the fall of 2020.  Native workforce programs have a critical role to play to insure the hiring of American Indian and Alaska Native workers that know the Native communities in their areas.

The newsletter continues to be interested in hearing from tribes and Native organizations, all across the country, on your promotional efforts for the 2020 decennial census and feature them in future issues.  Please get in touch with me by e-mail at if you're willing to pass along that information.

Comments, questions and suggestions on the newsletter are always welcome.  Also, feel free to distribute this information to anyone you think may be interested.

If you would like to suggest adding anyone to the distribution list for the newsletter, please let me know.  Or if you wish to be dropped from the list, please let me know that as well.
