Attached is the latest newsletter on American Indian and Alaska Native issues in Census Bureau operations and data.

The feature story describes the programs for which Census Bureau data is used in some way, including the allocation of program funds. American Indian and Alaska Native people, on and off-reservation, are major beneficiaries of many of the programs. Several fund tribal governments and tribal and other Native organizations directly. Will the fact that many federal programs are vital to Native people motivate them to answer the 2020 Census questionnaire?

Comments, questions and suggestions on the newsletter are always welcome. Also, feel free to distribute this information to anyone you think may be interested.

The newsletter continues to be interested in hearing from tribes and Native organizations, all across the country, on your promotional efforts for the 2020 decennial census and feature them in future issues. Please get in touch with me by e-mail at norm_deweaver@rocketmail.com if you're willing to pass along that information.
