Summary

This position is located in the Employment and Training Administration, Office of Workforce Investment (OWI), Division of Indian and Native American Programs. OWI is responsible for providing national leadership, oversight, policy guidance, and technical assistance to the workforce system including the Indian and Native American (INA) employment and training grant programs (youth and adult).

Responsibilities

Major Duties

  • Conducts program reviews, both administrative and financial
  • Reviews, certifies, and approves program and financial reports
  • Develops and provides technical assistance strategies for grantees;
  • Prepares accurate analysis and reports and responds to a wide variety of inquires and audits to assess and analyze program data;
  • Interprets statutory and regulatory provisions and provides guidance to assigned INA grantees and workforce system verbally and through written guidance;
  • Prepares, edits and reviews Funding Opportunity Announcements, press releases, talking points, briefing documents, correspondence and other documents; and
  • Analyzes findings to develop recommendations and options for new initiatives and participants as a recognized expert in work groups and in making professional presentations on subject areas.
  • Provides training and technical assistance through workshops, webinars, webcasts and other forms of digital media.
