Secretary Acosta inducted President Ronald Reagan into the Department's Hall of Honor. The only President to have led a major union, Reagan worked to unleash opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.

New jobless claims dropped to 210,000 for the week ending Feb. 24, and the 4-week moving average was 220,500. Both figures were the lowest since 1969.
