Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announces funding opportunity - Grant Funding Guidance for State and Tribal Response Programs for Fiscal  Year 2020

The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as amended, authorizes a non competitive $50 million grant program to establish and enhance state and tribal response programs.  These response programs generally address the assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment of brownfields sites and other sites with actual or perceived contamination.  For Fiscal Year (FY) 2020, EPA will consider grant requests up to a maximum of $1.0 million per state or tribe.

The FY 2020 grant funding guidance is applicable as of October 1, 2019.  EPA expects to make non-competitive grant awards to states and tribes which apply during FY 2020.
